Khloe Kardashian is now in charge of Lamar Odom's medical decisions as he remains on life support since he was admitted into the hospital.  The former Lakers player collapsed in a Nevada brothel on Tuesday.

The family of Odom and the Kardashian-Jenner family continue to ask for prayers and are grateful for the immense concern over Odom's health. The NBA champion has been connected to a ventilator due to what is believed to be an overdose of a mixture of sexual enhancement drugs, cocaine and alcohol. Lamar Odom is a 2 time NBA champion for 2009 and 2010 when he played for the Los Angeles Lakers and was the Sixth Man of the Year in 2011.

Khloe and Lamar had been married for four years when Khloe filed for divorce in 2013. They had just signed their divorce papers this year, but technically as there have been no final judgment yet, she is still married to Odom and is in charge of his medical care.

Sources say the family is praying non-stop but nothing has changed and they are preparing for the worst. Colleagues of the NBA star such as Kobe Bryant and Lakers Coach Bryan Scott have expressed their concern and well wishes for Odom.

Lakers coach said what happened to Lamar had taken a toll on Bryant. "It's hard on him; he was very close to Lamar. Loves him like a brother. So it's a rough time for Kobe dealing with that."  Scott said during the team's practice on Thursday.

Khloe's family have made tributes for Lamar such as photos and holding off their personal apps while Odom's condition is still critical. They also released a statement in regards to their decision to go through this with Khloe as a family.

"As a family we've decided to hold off on publishing content across our apps while we continue to support and pray for Lamar. Thank you for your kindness and understanding during this difficult time," the statement said.

Destiny and Lamar Jr., Lamar's children from his ex-partner for 10 years, Liza Morales, have also released statements regarding their father's condition." Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers," they said to an interview to CNN when they arrived in Vegas on Wednesday.
