The Prince has been given free rein as he talk about this matter for the third time this year. He is expected to address young citizens of China, which has the biggest market for illegal wildlife products,  to support the move to abolish the illegal trade in ivory.

The illegally traded ivory, which is often derived from poaching, has driven some animals to the point of extinction. From Africa and Vietnam, thousand of animals were being killed each year due to poaching. These animals include rhinos, tigers, sharks and the elephants.

Prince William is a passionate advocate against poaching. He is the president of United for Wildlife, a group of charities united up to battle poaching and the patronization of illegal wildlife products.

Illegally sold ivory are mostly used as a medicinal ingredient or for aesthetic purposes. The trade is said to be worth annually about £13 billion, making it the fourth global crime with the biggest profit behind human trafficking, drugs and weapons.

Together with Prince William, famous personalities have been invited to give further insight and create awareness about the effects and consequences of the said trade, which could rid the future of these animals that are currently close to extinction.

The list of guests include would Yao Ming and TV personalities Sir David Attenborough and Bear Grylls, both well known wildlife enthusiast with their own programs.  The goal is to push for the total banning of ivory trade, which has already been promulgated in China but somehow is still yet to get in progress.
