His Royal Highness Prince Harry has joined first lady Michelle Obama in his U.S. visit to promote and officially launch the 2016 Invictus Games that will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World near Orlando, Florida in May.
The Invictus Games are an international Paralympic-style multi-sport event in which wounded, injured or sick soldiers and veterans take part in sports, including wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, and indoor rowing.

Kensington Palace has confirmed that the second edition of the games will be hosted by the United States following Prince Harry's announcement last summer. Harry's U.S. trip this week has officially launched the upcoming games, the Palace said.
Prince Harry said the Invictus Games mean so much more to him as he recounted his experiences during his 2005 tour of duty in Afghanistan as part of the British Army.
He narrated that on his return to the U.K. after his first deployment, he shared flight with three critically injured British soldiers who were all in a coma, and the dead body of a Danish soldier who was killed in action.
"It hit me then that this flight was one of many, carrying home men and women whose lives would be changed forever, and some who had made the ultimate sacrifice," Harry said.
"From that moment, I knew I had a responsibility to help all veterans, who had made huge personal sacrifices for their countries, to lead healthy and dignified lives after service," he continued.
Prince Harry, Ms. Obama and Joe Biden's wife visited the USO Warrior and Family Center where they were serenaded by active duty Marines. The center houses veterans with physical and mental injuries sustained from their deployments, helping them recover from their physical and mental wounds.
Prince Harry said he wanted to focus on the plight of veterans who are suffering from mental injury by breaking down perceptions of physical and mental conditions.
With the upcoming Invictus Games, he hopes to break down the barrier surrounding "invisible injuries" like post traumatic stress disorder, and treat the condition just like treating a soldier who has lost a limb.
Named after Invictus, which means "Undefeated Unconquered", the event was inspired by the Warrior Games, a similar event held in the United States.
The first Invictus Games took place in 2014 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, and was attended by members of the Royal Family.
