52-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard's father secretly arranged custom car designer Chip Foose to renovate Heard's 1968 Ford Mustang on an upcoming episode of the reality TV series 'Overhaulin' on the Velocity Channel, according to The Hamilton Spectator.

Amber Heard did not know this and was tricked into believing that her car was stolen for a third time.
A one-minute special sneak peak shows a team of mechanics and designers overhauling old vehicles. It begins with scenes of the 29-year-old actress Heard frustrated at a man posing as a police officer. The man was taking pictures of the famous couple while Heard was questioning him about his actions. The partner of the police officer explains that his partner gets starstruck - just like what happened when he had a restraining order from John Claude Van Damme. Of course Depp was in on the joke, so he stood by and chatted coolly.
Both officers, were actually host Chris Jacobs and Foose in disguise, according to People Magazine. They requested that the couple poses for a picture with them for a certain newsletter. This annoys Heard. She frowns, bows her head, and moves away in disgust.
The 'Rum Diary' beauty was overwhelmed when she discovered that her car was fine and had been upgraded with the help from her husband and Overhaulin. She was told that her beloved Mustang had been ripped off two times, was a broken down mess, and was actually in a shop getting a total makeover.
Heard said her car was kind of a drivable piece of jun; a beautiful piece of junk that cost her every dime she had and still cost her for the first eight years she lived in LA. She apparently does not want anyone touching her precious car. She cried when she saw her new beautiful cherry red vehicle and thanked everybody.
Daily Mail reported that Depp admitted there are many times he had to change the subject when he was asked how he managed to keep the epic prank a secret.
The couple's Overhaulin episode will be aired on Nov. 4 on Velocity.
