Jolin Tsai’s China Concert Stage Collapses; Kills One, Injures Over a Dozen

(Photo : Facebook) Concert organizers have cancelled Jolin Tsai's scheduled concert in China this weekend after a stage lighting prop collapsed.
Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai's upcoming China concert hit a a major snag Thursday when an accident occured at the venue being constructed, killing one worker and wounding more than a dozen others.
The Mandapop Queen was due to hold a concert dubbed "Play World Tour 2015" on Saturday at the Guangxi Sports Stadium in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi province.

Local authorities say a stage lighting prop being set up suddenly came crushing down around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
One construction worker was killed on the spot. Thirteen others were wounded, one of them seriously, after they were trapped under collapsed equipment. The rest sustained minor injuries and were treated at local hospitals.
Investigation is underway to determine what led to the mishap.
Concert organizers, meanwhile, announced that they are cancelling the Nanning concert, and those who have bought tickets can ask for a refund.
Tsai took to her account on microblogging platform Weibo to express her grief over the unfortunate incident and requested her friends and followers to pray for the victims.
