Users can enjoy this voice assistant on android smartphones. To do so, simply tap on the small microphone icon located on the search tab. Google's latest firmware is called Android Marshmallow, which has Google voice assistant that is supported with 'Now on Tap' or 'Google Now on Tap' features.
The company reportedly stores user's searches from its voice-activated assistant Google's Voice Search, OK Google, and search feature Google Now. The Google algorithm uses the stored data to select relevant advertisements that users see.
When the user uses any keyword in the voice search tab, it will generate a result such as information, suggestions and actions. According to The Next Digit, the digital voice assistant can now identify users' voice easily. The voice commands are stored in the user's associated Google account. The purpose of this feature is not only for voice search but also to enhance voice recognition. NPR reported that Google stores the audio search information; however, users can opt to keep the recordings anonymous.
This recording feature is similar to Apple Siri which collects each and every voice command. However, owners do not have access to their stored voice commands.
The previous searches, voice commands and watched YouTube videos are stored in huge capacity storage with the help of Google. Regardless of whether users clear their browser history or not, everything will be stored online. The data storage feature can be enable or disable under manage activity section.
