2 Years Old Boy Dies After Drinking 100g of Chinese White Wine, 3 Adults Sentenced Over Incident

(Photo : By 华西都市报) Three men have received varying prison sentences for forcing a 2-year-old boy to drink alcohol. The toddler ultimately lost his life as a result of the experience.
Three men have been found guilty of homicide on Thursday for coaxing a toddler to drink wine with them. The child died shortly afterwards.
In April, Xu, a man living in Panzhihua city, and Yuanyuan, his 2-year-old son, were invited to have dinner at a friend's house. Xu quickly got drunk and fell asleep at the party, leaving Yuanyuan to continue eating with his three adult friends.

After Yuanyuan drank up the water in his cup, the three men urged him to drink some Baijiu (Chinese white wine). The two years old boy drank approximately 100g of alcohol before falling unconscious.
Without realizing anything abnormal, the three adults thought Yuanyuan was just drunk and need a rest. However, this little boy died after several hours of suffering from severe respiratory failure.
On Thursday Nov. 5, this case was opened at Western District People's Court in Panzhihua city. Xu's three friends were convicted of negligent homicide They were sentenced to between two years to two years and three months in jail.
