A new saga for the Los Angeles Clippers has begun with their new owner, former Microsoft Corp. CEO Steve Ballmer.
Ballmer wrote a letter introducing himself to the Clippers organization and the team's supporters, explaining his expectations going forward.
"I pledge this," Ballmer writes. "I will be hard core in my commitment to give the team support it needs to be its best on and off the court."

He reiterated that owning a franchise has been a dream that he harbored for many years. With his dream turning to into a reality, he vowed to do whatever it took to give the best game-night experiences in the NBA.
"The Clippers franchise is a true public trust, and my goal is that the Clippers will play an ever-increasing role in the life of our community," he said.
Ballmer also mentioned how his franchise should play a part in their community, especially after the outrage that sparked after Sterling made racist comments.
"We will achieve this goal the same way we will succeed on the court: by waking up every day and figuring out how we can be better, how we can do more, how we can ensure that the Clippers organization is not only winning on the court but also making a real difference in the community."
