Introducing Spring, A New Instagram-Style Shopping App

New app Spring makes mobile shopping even quicker and easier.
What differentiates Spring from all other shopping websites and social media is that it combines aspects of both platforms. It's as simple as following a fashion brand and buying directly from them.
Spring is not an intermediary like other shopping sites, because it doesn't have warehouses that stock up on inventory.

Instead, David Tisch, co-creator and chairman of Spring calls it "an active posting platform." Spring simply connects a user with a brand's ecommerce infrastructure so brands are actually the ones shipping the purchased products.
What Spring offers is a universal shopping cart. It's like walking around a department store, gathering different brands of clothing and paying it in one go.
It's simply straightforward shopping.
Spring launched with already 100 fashion brands under its title, including Hugo Boss and Warby Parkers. Its creators hope to add another 350 brands heading towards 2015.
Brands involved with Spring are encouraged to add their own touch to their uploads. They are encouraged to have photos that are consistent with the lifestyle they want to project instead of generic photos of clothing. This protects brands from looking homogenous and losing the message they want to convey.
"We don't want to be in the minds of consumers who know what they want, or want the lowest prices. It's more like, what does it mean to go shopping on your phone?" Tisch stated.
Tisch said it took him a year and a half to create the new app that promises to get rid of the fluff found in social media and simply connects users to the fashion brands they want to browse through.
"We think that the best shopping experience is not user-generated content and brands then jumping in, but how to capture that feeling of walking 5th Avenue or your favorite mall," Tisch said.
