Xiaomi Officially Announces Mi Band Pulse for Only $16

Chinese company Xiaomi has officially unveiled its much awaited second wearable device called Mi Band Pulse for only $16.
Mi Band Pulse is a new activity tracker from Xiaomi which is a follow-up to its predecessor Xiaomi Mi Band. The device tracks user's steps and sleep, alarms and some notifications. These two devices look similar but the new Mi Band Pulse has an additional feature which monitors user's heart rate and let owner to easily measure their heart beat.

This new wearable device features a 45mAh battery that will last for up to 20 days in standby (compared to 30 days on the Mi Band). According to PC Mag, the device is rated as IP67 water resistant. It has been tested to withstand low and high temperatures, and drops of 4 feet.
The Mi Band Pulse does not feature a screen. User's cannot read text messages nor control music from their wrist using this device. Consumers in China can choose from a range of colourful options such as red, green, orange, blue, teal, and black.
Phone Dog reported that Mi Band Pulse is compatible with devices running iOS 7 and up or Android 4.4 and up. The device connects via Bluetooth 4.0 and uses Xiaomi's Mi Fit mobile app to sync fitness, health, and sleep data from your wrist.
According to the company, the plain Mi Band will still continue to be offered on the market at 69RMB or $11. The company will launch the Xiaomi's Mi Band Pulse in China on November 11 at a price of 99RMB, or around $16.
The company also recently began selling an enhanced version of its Redmi 2A Android smartphone which features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The enhanced version of the phone offers a 4.7-inch 1280x720 display, 2-megapixel front cameras and 8-megapixel rear, a quad-core Leadcore processor, and a 2200mAh battery. The new version of Redmi 2A is priced at 499 Yuan or $78.
