Chris Christie is widely considered as a moderate who has moved to the right for his presidential campaign, and who has ,therefore, spent much of his time courting on people very different from the evangelical voters targeted by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former U.S. Sen.
Mike Huckabee attempted to respond but the moderator shut him down. "She is the real adversary tonight and we better stay focused as Republicans on her". "Did Chris Christie just declare war on China?" was among the most pressing questions following the opening volleys of Republican debate night, Telegraph.

According to My Tech Bits, the undercard candidates may mostly agree on issues, but that did not stop a face-off between Jindal and Huckabee. Christie also addressed the ongoing debate about policing in the United States by accusing the Obama administration of "not standing behind police across the country, allowing lawlessness to reign in this country".
"Christie did well. He tried to show that he was tough and aggressive, and he kept it all focused on Hillary" Clinton, said Drake University political scientist Dennis Goldford.
Jindal said the electorate should not vote for a big-government Republican who would essentially represent a second-class Democratic Party.
"Everyone will get lower rates", he said, adding that people would be able to file their tax returns in 15 minutes. "They hacked into the American government's personnel file and took millions of records in cyber warfare against this country". "And here is what I believe as a Republican, I believe the greatness of America is not in its government. The greatness of America is in the American people and what we need to do is get the government the hell out of the way and let the American people win once again".
Christie took numerous shots at Clinton and President Barack Obama during the first of two debates, even encouraging the other three candidates on the stage to follow his lead and train their sights on Democrats rather than each other.
When Huckabee objected and said that he in fact lowered spending, Jindal pounced. "I'll fly Air Force One over those islands", Christie said with a smirk. He even reached back to his time as US attorney of New Jersey, when he was a feared prosecutor, choosing to speak less about his troubled tenure as governor. "They'll know we mean business". What do you think's going to happen when Hillary Clinton is elected president of the US?
Santorum spoke about the 20 percent flat tax for corporations and individuals.
Huckabee talked about a fair tax - saying it was the best solution for economic growth for the U.S. He also said that payroll should not be taxed, stating that production should nott be punished. Santorum said "working families" is the key to winning the election. Huckabee noted his humble beginnings and said he would re-energize belief in the American dream, reported China News.
"I want to fire everybody in DC, in both parties", Mr. Jindal declared, in one of his many broadsides against Washington.
