An app that lets users purchase directly from their favorite brands is now up and running.
A New York start-up company designed an app called Spring that allows the user to select from a wide variety of products and buy them direct from the brands just like they'd do in a physical store.

Spring partnered with brands like Levi's, Nicole Miller, and Michael Kors to enable its business model. The Instagram-like interface app lets consumers interact with these and other brands.
It was created by brothers Alan and David Tisch who spent a year and a half raising funds and developing Spring.
The app aims to cut out the profits department stores make and instead add to the brands' profit margins.
Users can follow their favorite brands much like following someone on social media sites.
Consumers won't have to reveal their credit card information on every purchase because Spring stores the card information but doesn't save it in its servers.
Users don't need any app for online shopping.
"Customers don't want to download individual apps for each retailer site. It's a pain, and takes up too much room on your phone," Tisch said.
The brothers clarified they aren't a social media network and emphasize Spring is a place for shopping.
"This is not a social product. This is not a social network. This is a place to go shopping," David Tisch said.
Spring receives an undisclosed fee on every purchase which has been estimated at less than eight percent. This fee is considered lower than those of other businesses.
Spring also said that brands will shoulder shipping fees and customer service fees.
Spring is currently only available on iPhones and aims to be on iPad and Android devices, too.
