According to Fox News, for terrorism and intelligence experts, the message in the video is clear - ISIS is targeting Russia.
Veryan Khan, from the U.S.-based Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium, agrees that the video is a threat to Russia and to "a certain extent to other Western countries."
An analyst told the Fox News that the video is noteworthy because it was released after the Sinai-based terrorist group "Sinai State" claimed responsiblity for the crash of a Russian airplane in the Egyptian region. A tragedy shook the world on Saturday, Oct. 31 when a Russian airliner crashed in the Sinai Peninsula, killing 224 passengers onboard. In the same week, an attack on the Russian Embassy in Serbia has been reported.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has revealed that the authenticity of the video is being investigated by the Russian security service, according to a report by China-Europe.
"I do not know the authenticity of this video and the sources." Peskov told reporters. "But in any case, our special services will no doubt look into this material."
Khan stated that the video should be analyzed thoroughtly as it may provide clues about the terrorist's plans and future attacks.
