When ssked about speculations that the song was written in response to Taylor Swifts 'Style' from her 1989 album, Styles, in an interview with USA Today Weekend Extra, said "I'm never going to tell someone what it means to them, because there's a lot of songs where I feel something completely different from what the writer intended me to feel. It's obviously funny to see, but it's up to everybody's individual interpretation."

According to Harry, his songs are written out of "personal experience." He further added that it does not always have to be literally interpreted like "This is a love song about a girl I used to see," he said. "Not every love song is necessarily about a person. It could be about a place or time or something where it touched you."

Meanwhile, Louis told PEOPLE magazine "I think everybody draws from personal experiences, so of course to a degree I'm sure that influenced some of it. Down to specifics to who that song is exactly about, that's fan's interpretation, I suppose."

An insider reported that Harry, who has worked on and recorded 20 songs already, "has been writing constantly both when on the road and when doing his own thing."

Following an announcement the One Direction is going on haitus early next year, Styles is reportedly composing tracks for his solo career.

One Direction, who have been on four tours and released five albums, announced a temporary hiatus after releasing their album "Made in the A.M." telling their fans "we are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well-earned break."

"It is definitely really sad for us. But obviously, we're going back into it. So it's not goodbye, just 'See you later," they said.
