Taiwanese actress-model Lin Chi Ling and singer Amber Kuo were said to have been keeping their distance from each other during an event for the cosmetic brand they were both endorsing, fueling speculations that the two stars aren't getting along well.

According to sources, Lin Chi Ling is not happy that Amber Kuo is being paid as much as she is for endorsing the same makeup brand, the reason being that the model has been the face of the makeup brand for two years now.

Amber Kuo has only been endorsing the same cosmetic product recently, but is also going to promote different products that Lin Chi-Ling did. However, Amber Kuo is said to have been receiving the same eight-digit compensation that the model is getting.

Amber Kuo has attended the endorsement event with Lin Chi Ling, but according to reports, the former has requested for a separate makeup room from the model.  The 28-year old singer also arrived late at the venue, but acted impersonal.

The two stars didn't appear on-stage together, but the singer also hasn't taken the initiative to interact with Lin Chi Ling while they were both at the backstage.

Later through the event, Amber Kuo was asked why she was doing such things and the singer merely answered that she wanted to take a peek at Lin Chi Ling, quite the opposite of what the reports have been saying. The singer even posted a photo of herself along with the model.

Still, Lin Chi Ling received criticism for making Amber Kuo look short on their endorsements. Netizens have accused the model of being insincere upon meeting the singer despite their makeup rooms being beside each other.

The actress-model's manager debunked the rumors, stating that she has an easy-going personality and can't possibly be in bad terms with Amber.

Amber's manager also said there was no truth to the rumors, supporting the statement of model's manager. Amber's camp has also denied that she was getting an eight-figure pay for the endorsement, stating that it was an exaggeration.
