Makiyo’s Mother Developed Brain Cancer

Taiwanese-Japanese celebrity Makiyo Kawashima has broken down at the unfortunate turn of events regarding her mother's health, expressing her nervousness and unease about what could go wrong on her mother's upcoming surgery.

The celebrity's 63-year old mother had been diagnosed with lung cancer the previous year and was given a four-month leeway to live, but her condition seemed to have gotten better in later reports.

According to previous reports, the tumor on Mrs. Kawashima's lungs has reduced in size and the public, as well as the family, took this as a good sign that the celebrity's mother was getting better.

However, Makiyo Kawashima's mother has reportedly fallen off at home while trying to sit down since she didn't perceive her distance from the chair well.

In turn, Makiyo Kawashima thought that there was something wrong about her mother who suddenly had a problem with depth and space perception, so she decided to bring her to the hospital.

The latest findings on Mrs. Kawashima's health indicate the presence of a tumor that spans 4 centimeters in circumference inside her brain. Doctors suspect that the cancer cells from her lungs have spread to her brain.

Mrs. Kawashima has previously expressed her joy, stating that the doctors have told her that the medicine is working on her so far. The elderly has also expressed her wish to live longer after having lived past the leeway the doctors gave her when she was first diagnosed.

Now, Makiyo Kawashima's mother has been advised to undergo surgery to have the tumor removed today. This made the celebrity rather emotional.

Makiyo said doctors have advised her to prepare for the worst since the next 48 hours after her mother's surgery would be crucial.

The celebrity shared how she has been noticing her mother's frequent incidences of falling lately. The mother suffered from spine pain and has claimed that cold compression can't help relieve it.

The elderly had been advised to go on a vegetarian diet, but refused the doctors'  advice since she wasn't used to it and she claimed that she didn't want to lose weight from the chemotherapy sessions.

Mrs. Kawashima is scheduled for surgery today.
