Mobile Phone Saves Man Fatal Head Injury During Paris Attacks

A man named Sylvestre, who was in close proximity to one of the terror attacks in Paris on Friday night, was spared from a fatal head injury by his Samsung mobile phone, which served as a shield, according to iTele via Stomp Strait Times.
Sylvestre, wearing a black leather jacket and white shirt, revealed that he was in the middle of the conversation with someone on the phone while crossing the pedestrian lane.

Suddenly, he heard a loud noise and saw an explosion in front of him.
Debris was flying everywhere after the explosion occurred. Sylvestre attempted to escape, but fell and got up.
After reaching a safe place, Sylvestre was surprised to discover that his phone was cracked and there was an indentation of a bullet etched on it.
Sylvestre took the time to show his phone to the media, as he shared a detailed account of his experience.
"My phone took the hit and it saved me. Otherwise, my head would have been blown to bits," said Sylvestre.
129 lives were lost during the terrorist attack in Paris on Friday, according to The Guardian.
These attacks occurred in several locations, especially in the most popular places for leisure such as a concert hall, a Cambodian restaurant and a football stadium.
Seven attackers were killed in this act of violence. However, an eighth attacker is still at large.
The tragedy sent the whole world into distress, as the death toll increased. People all over the world have sent their heartfelt support through messages of hope through social media.
Netizens, in solidarity, have made their profile pictures watermarked with colors the the French flag. Facebook has also activated a safety feature to allow people in the country connect with their loved ones and inform them of their safety.
Cab drivers have provided aid by offering free rides to people who want to get out of Paris for a safer place. Residents also offered a helping hand by accommodating those who don't have a place to stay.
