According to Prime Minister Manuel Valls, this conference will still go on since it is an essential meeting for the rest of humanity. He adds that this summit will also serve as an opportunity for world leaders to also show their sympathy and solidarity with France after the deadly attacks.

On November 30 until December 11, there will be 118 world leaders that are expected to attend the opening day of the summit, which aims to focus and forge a global deal in order to limit current greenhouse gas emissions.

Among those who confirmed their attendance are U.S. President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry. In total, some 20,000 to 40,000 delegates are expected to be present at the summit.

According to spokesman of the U.N. Climate Change Secretariat, Nick Nuttall, he reassures that security during the U.N. climate conferences will be extremely tight and more secure in light of what happened to Paris.

In order to secure the delegates, the United Nations will be mainly responsible for the security inside the conference venue which will be held at Bourget, which is located north of Paris.

Last Saturday, indignant French President Francois Hollande vowed a "merciless" response after the wave of attacks by gunmen and suicide bombers who slaughtered 127 people across different venues in Paris, where he described the attacks as an act of war by the Islamic State.

According to Alice Jay who is the director of citizens' campaign group, Avaaz, they are now discussing ways forward before marching towards the climate conference's eve on November 29, as the group including other environmental groups are pressing for an immediate climate action plan.

The organizers are planning to emulate the People's Climate March that happened in New York in 2014 where it gathered more than 100,000 people across the globe, making it the largest protest in history against climate change.

However, according to Prime Minister Manuel Valls on Monday, France will now limit the climate change summit into core negotiations and will cancel all marches and concerts after the deadly attacks.
