Euro Game reported that the Star Wars: Battlefront beta version presented by Dice impressed critics and many of them believe that the final version of the game will be even better.
The graphics and resolution for both the Xbox One and PS 4 version of the game has definitely gotten better compared to previous Star Wars games. However, PS 4 players enjoy a better screen resolution than their Xbox One counterparts. PS 4 users plays Star Wars: Battlefront at 1600×900 while Xbox One users will play it at merely 1280×720.
Still, some of the game scenes seems to be loaded with too many images that both consoles are having trouble maintaining the frame rate.
Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Star Wars: Battlefront have been tested in networking gaming. A maximum of 30 to 40 players can get online on the either consoles. During the multiplayer game, both consoles have been able to maintain 60 frames per second resolution.
Meanwhile, EA spokesperson Blake Jorgensen announced on Monday that the game publisher and Disney have concluded a ten year agreement, according to Game Spot. The deal will allow EA to publish Star Wars: Battlefront sequels and other related games for various gaming consoles, PC and mobile devices.
One upcoming Star Wars game is reportedly being developed by Amy Hennig for Visceral Games. Little details have been released about the game except rumors that it might be a role playing game.
Star Wars: Battlefront is primarily focused on the first three movies released. Jorgensen said that the deal with Disney covers all the six Star Wars film and also the upcoming seventh installment, The Force Awakens. EA may develop Star War games based on the other movies, television series or sequels that Disney may release during the agreed time period.
