The updates are expected to start rolling out in the month of December.

In other Xperia news, it has been revealed on the Sony Blog that Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and Sony Xperia Z3 have gotten the Android Marshmallow concept build. This test build will be only available for a particular set of users.

This points towards the fact that Sony is in the process of testing the Android Marshmallow update, which clearly means that it will be rolled out soon for the Xperia devices.

It is also rumored that a Stamina Mode will be added in the Android Marshmallow update from Sony. This mode will improve the battery life of the devices as it will stop all background activities. Sony is known to add its own tweaks to the official Google Android software, and Android Marshmallow will be no different.

Google is planning to cover at least 75 percent device base with the Android Marshmallow update before the end of this year. Almost all eligible Nexus devices are already running on it, along with many Motorola devices and LG G4.

Tech giant Sony is also planning to roll out this firmware update for its Xperia series soon, as per Tampa Bay Review. The update will be rolled out in the form of an OTA update, meaning that different devices will get it at different times, according to  Yahoo News UK.
