Blizzard recently released the fifth Starcraft installment Legacy of the Void. Critics and gamers have praised the latest installment as it reintroduced old and new units with varying abilities and cooperative multiplayer options.
The first Starcraft game was released in 1998 and immediately became a favorite among RTS gamers, according to Game Revolution. After a few years, an expansion was released which was also a great success. A sequel Starcraft II - divided into three installments - was published soon after. Legacy of the Void is the third and last installment of the sequel. The first two are Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm.

The latest Starcraft installment is focused on the Protoss race as they try to take their homeworld of Auir back from the Zergs. In the campaign mode, players assume the role of Protoss Hierarch Artanis who is in a quest to unite all various factions before the final assault on Auir.
Critics have observed that the campaign missions in the latest installment seem to be a repetition of the first two except that the protagonists are now Protoss who happened to have new units and abilities that players need to unlock as the game progresses.
However, the gameplay in Legacy of the Void especially in multiplayer mode is more intense and the player with the most skill usually wins. The game offers various powerful Protoss units at player's disposal, but only if they have the ability to use them wisely in battle.
The campaign missions in Legacy of the Void are surprisingly short compared to the two. But it makes for it by the number of mini-campaigns included in the game. For co-op multiplayer mode, new campaign missions are offered for two players to complete. Another co-op version called Archon mode pits two players against two players but each team controls only one army.
Legacy of the Void finally reveals the ultimate threat to three races. Expectantly, he is vanquished when the protagonists from the three races, Terran, Zerg and Protoss combined their powers. The love story between former Mar Sara Sheriff Jim Raynor and former Terran Ghost and Queen of the Blades Sarah Kerrigan is concluded in this last series.
