The two have been dating for less than a year, but the 46-year old Cheng is allegedly hoping to marry Chan soon. However, rumor has it that Cheng asked Chan's parents' for her hand in marriage, but they refused the proposal.
While the actress' parents are wary at the fast pace the relationship took, Chan and Cheng are said to be head-over-heels in love with each other.
After work commitments in Mainland China ended for Cheng, he is said to have been spending all his days off with Chan, even driving her to all of her engagements. The couple has been spotted all around Hong Kong on romantic dates.
Chan recently co-hosted the 2016 TVB Sales Presentation with Bob Lam and Louis Cheung. During the said event, the actress felt awkward interacting with Chairmaine Sheh due to past rumors about the actress and Cheng.
During the interview with Sheh, Chan decided to instead pass on the interview questions to her co-presenters instead of asking them herself.
