Corinne Foxx, a 21-year old USC senior, was named Miss Golden Globe 2016 by the Hollywood Foreign Press (HFPA) on Tuesday. Foxx is the daughter of Oscar-winning actor, Jamie Foxx.

The title of wither Mister or Miss Golden Globe is traditionally given to a child of an established Hollywood star. The said position gives the celebrity's offspring an opportunity to assist during the awards ceremony.

Foxx follows the footsteps of Gia Mantegna, daughter of Joe Mantegna; Sosie Bacon, daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick; Greer Grammer, the daughter of Kelsey Grammer; Francesca Eastwood, the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher; Rainey Qualley, the daughter of Andie MacDowell; Sam Fox, the son of Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan; "Dancing with the Stars" champion Rumer Willis, the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis.

"Throughout the years, I've grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor," Foxx said, expressing her excitement about being handed the title. "I'm honored that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he's been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments," she added.

HFPA President Lorenzo Soria said they made the right choice of going with Foxx for the next awards ceremony, stating that like her father, Foxx is exemplary of what it means to follow your dreams. Soria added that they can't wait to see what she does next.

Airing on Jan. 10, 2016, the 73rd annual Golden Globes will be hosted by controversial comedienne, Ricky Gervais.
