China has called on its allies to join hands in fighting terrorism together by coordinating international counter-terrorism efforts and working hand-in-hand to promote anti-terror cooperation in the wake of the recent Paris terror attacks that killed 132 civilians and wounded scores of others.

The UN Security Council, of which China is a permanent member, appealed to the international community to make a concerted effort to form a unified front in the face of the rising incidence of terrorism.
Liu Jieyi, China's permanent representative to the UN, made the appeal at the Security Council meeting, which tackled the importance of maintaining peace and security in many parts of the world, according to Chinese state media.
Liu expressed his sympathy to the families of the victims of the recent terror attacks in France and to other countries like Beirut and Lebanon.
The UN Representative said that terrorism is the most severe challenge facing the international community today and that countries should unite and show that they are not afraid and that they will fight these terrorists until they are neutralized.
"China condemns such attacks in the strongest terms," Liu said.
Liu rallied the Security Council to immediately implement its resolutions on the terrorist group ISIS and put counter-terrorism measures into effect, which include taking drastic actions in cutting the terrorists' Internet use where they plan their terrorist activities as well as their channels where they seek financial support.
"The Security Council has a primary responsibility for maintaining international peace and security," said Liu.
Liu also highlighted the importance of countries respecting one another's sovereignty and territorial integrity in settling disputes. He encouraged all countries to settle disputes amicably with dialogues, negotiations, and diplomatic talks as the top priorities.
"Efforts must be made to promote dialogue and negotiation and exchanges among different civilizations, cultures and religions, so that dialogue among civilizations can become a bridge for enhancing friendship among countries and maintaining world peace," he added.
