Forbes Magazine Names Top 10 Most Influential Businesswomen in China

(Photo : Reuters) Forbes Magazine Chinese edition has released a list of the top 10 most influential women business leaders in China in 2015
Forbes Magazine Chinese Edition has named Gree Electric Appliances CEO Dong Mingzhu as the most influential businesswoman in China. She has held the spot for two consecutive years.
Dong's company manufactures home appliances in Zhuhai, Guangdong province. She topped the list of most influential businesswomen in China, according to the respective rankings released by Forbes Magazine this week.

Other prominent businesswomen who made it to the list include Chen Chunhua, co-chair and CEO of agri-business firm New Hope Liuhe Co Ltd, and Wang Fengying, president of Great Wall Motor Co Ltd.
Forbes magazine has noted the increasing number of Chinese businesswomen who have taken on significant roles in global business ventures and who continue to stand at the forefront of innovation.
According to Fortune, Dong jumped into the Internet bandwagon, pushing the manufacturing company past the traditional sales and marketing mode by going online.
Last year, Gree's online sales reached a whopping 140 billion yuan ($22 billion) a record breaking sales in the home appliance industry in China.
Fortune China executive editor in chief Zhang Maiwen said that one of the most important traits of good business leaders is empathy and mostly women have an advantage in this regard than men because they have more patience and pay more attention to details.
"Their communication skills, perspective-taking ability and more flexible approach have helped them to lead companies, to tide over difficulties and find solutions," he said.
At least four women in the online sector made it to the top 10 list.
Sun Yafang, CEO of Chinese telecom giant Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, was ranked fourth on the list Fortune said Sun has made a remarkable leap in the telecom industry, leading Huawei to become the third largest phone manufacturer in China next to Apple Inc and Samsung..
Fifth on the list is Li Dang, president of China General Technology Holding Ltd, while occupying the sixth and seventh spots respectively are Peng Lei, co-founder of Alibaba Holdings and Liu Quing, chairwoman of Didi Kuwaidi, China's largest cab service provider.
