An American astronaut has posted a photo on social media that has left a question mark on the minds of many people.

American astronaut, engineer and retired U.S. Navy Captain Scott Kelly posted a photo taken from the International Space Station on Twitter on Sunday Nov. 15. Kelly is currently in space aboard the Space Station for a mission to send people to Mars, together with Mikhail Kornienko.

A report by Fox News said there seems to be a "mysterious object" in the top right side of a photo posted by Kelly. This has sparked the interest of UFO enthusiasts such as sonofmabarker.

"In the upper right of the photo you can clearly see a large object with two lights on each end. It also appears to be very large and constructed," sonofmabarker said in a caption of his latest YouTube video.

Editor of the website UFO Sighting Daily Scott Waring also commented to Kelly's photo. Waring describes the mysterious object and thinks that the photo is "cool." Waring also believes that Kelly is trying to send a message about the existence of aliens.

"When an astronaut tweets a photo of a UFO, you can bet people notice it. Scott Kelly likes to send out photos of the view from the windows of the space station...and they look cool. This one however has a cigar shaped glowing UFO with a metallic body in it. The UFO is about 25 meters long and 150-200 meters away. It looks like Scott was trying to hint at the existence of aliens. Message received Scott, and thanks." Waring stated.

NASA is yet to comment on the said photo.
