(Photo : GETTY IMAGES/Ashley Pon) Michelle Reis has opened up about the importance of money when it comes to love.
Actress and former beauty queen Michelle Reis admits that while she hates the fact that she is constantly being tagged as a "gold digger", she believes that there is nothing wrong with going for a partner that has money and a good career.
The 45-year old met her husband Julian Hui, who comes from a privileged and wealthy family, when she took part in the Miss Hong Kong pageant in 1988. While Hui only showed his affections for her anonymously after they met the first time, the two met again years later and decided to enter into a relationship. They went public with their romance in 2006.

Reis confessed that some of the things that attracted her to Hui were his career success, and his assertiveness.
"A part of [why] I find him attractive is that he is able to assume responsibilities of many things. It is not a quality that he must have, but it is something I find very attractive," Reis shared.
She also noted that she doesn't care what the public say about her, stating that if the opposite happened and she chose to marry a poor man, she would be judged for choosing a partner that was "useless" and simply reliant on her.
Before getting married to Hui, Reis had been scrutinized for her past lovers, including Joe Nieh, who is now married to Vivian Chow; Leon Lai; and billionaire Joseph Lau, who was then married to Teresa Bo.
Reis and Lau's affair was said to have lasted for years.
