In their first interview since the November 13 Bataclan Concert Hall massacre that killed 89 innocent concert goers in Paris, the members of American bank Eagles of Death Metal are talking about their experience to Vice.
Lead singer Jesse Hughes tells Vice "People were playing dead and they were so scared. A great reason why so many people were killed is because so many of them refused to leave their friends and so many people threw themselves in front of other people to save them." he says, his voice shaking as he relives the tragedy.

In the clip released by Vice on their Youtube channel, he describes how several concert goers ran to hide in their dressing room, everyone in the room was killed after the terrorists found them--except for one child who was hiding under Hughes jacket.
Though no one in the band was injured or killed, they lost their merchandise manager, British born Nick Alexander, who was shot in front of his friend, an American expat named Helen Wilson, as well as three colleagues who worked for the bands record label --- Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser and Manu Perez were all killed during the attack.
The interview, which will be released next week shows the two bandmates talking to one of the Vice staff, in one clip they are shown sitting in silence, still shocked and full of grief.
The band previously issued a statement saying "Bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the city of Paris and all those affected by terrorism. We are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion."
