Windows 9 Preview Coming in September

Technology giant Microsoft, based in Redmond, Calif., is reportedly preparing to preview "Threshold," the codename given for Windows 9, in late September or early October according to a numerous sources who all wish to remain anonymous.

For the willing participants who would install the operating system preview, the company requires them to agree to have succeeding updates to the operating system automatically as Microsoft intends to head into the "serviceability" front

Threshold is the moniker of the next prominent version of the Windows operating system and is expected to be officially named "Windows 9" when it is launched in the spring of 2015. The new features that Threshold is anticipated to bring to the table are geared towards improving the operating system's usability on devices without touch screens and by individuals that use a mouse and a keyboard and a touch screen computer.

Previous leaks about Threshold have revealed features such as the windowed Metro-Style programs that can run on the Desktop, virtual desktops, a new "mini" Start Menu and the removal of the Charms bar that came as a part of Windows 8. Threshold would be also integrating an early version of Microsoft's virtual assistant, Cortana.

Microsoft delivered three external "milestones when the company was currently developing the Windows 8 before making it generally available in October 2012. The first milestone that Microsoft offered was a Windows 8 developer preview in September 2011, followed by a preview of the operating system for consumers in February 2012. Windows 8 was given to manufacturing on the first day of August 2012.

The company's operating system team, as of the moment, is focusing on a quick launch schedule and, according to ZDNet, there wouldn't be five or six months between any milestone builds of Threshold that Microsoft aims to release externally.

One of the reliable anonymous sources said that the Threshold preview would be public and available to all members of the public interested.
