On November 25, Disney and Pixar's newest animated movie called "The Good Dinosaur" will be released in theaters that tells a story of how the world would be like if dinosaurs would have never been extinct. The film will delve into a scenario where humans and dinosaurs are imagined to live peacefully alongside with each other, as opposed to dinosaurs being wiped out by a massive asteroid that created the Chicxulub crater, destroying the Yucatán Peninsula some 66 million years ago.

For scientists and many others who are wondering about the Chicxulub asteroid event and the existence of dinosaurs spanning millions of years on Earth, will "The Good Dinosaur" present a close, true to life interpretation if dinosaurs did not suffer from a massive die-off, living among humans and vice versa, in harmony? For astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, this would be impossible.

In this video of deGrasse Tyson posted on Youtube, he explains how a world with dinosaurs and humans living side by side would halt human evolution due to the massive size of dinosaurs. Since dinosaurs were much larger creatures that walked the ancient Earth, humanoid ancestors and Homo sapiens would be in trouble since they cannot assume the top position of the food chain, making humans part of the lower carnivorous system.

He also believes that humans will not have evolved into the modern ones of today, as humans will remain smaller, in the basic evolutionary stages that will be trampled upon by reptilian monsters.

In addition, deGrasse Tyson says in the video clip that one of the keys to survival is to outwit and outplay an enemy and since human mammalian ancestors are running around avoiding these gigantic, carnivorous not to mention vicious dinosaurs just to survive, these subhumans would have probably stayed that way.
