Samsung's new Galaxy S7 flagship will still feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, according to a leak focusing on model numbers of Samsung's newest handsets.
According to SamMobile, while reporting on leaked registration numbers for the S7, Samsung will release the new Samsung Galaxy S7 with a Galaxy S7 Edge variant. Basic codes for the handsets are SM-G930 for the Galaxy S7 with its modular edge, while the Galaxy S7 Edge model has SM-G935 with dual-curved bezels on the screen. Some versions of the handsets use Snapdragon chipsets, while the rest use Samsung Exymos 8 Octa 8890 chipsets.

Besides the basic codes, rumours have out that Samsung Galaxy S7 carriers in the U.S. and China will include a Snapdragon chipset on the Galaxy S7's two variants. There will also be various model numbers on the carriers, with US Cellular receiving SM-G935R4 and SM-G930R4; Verizon getting SM-G935V and SM-G930V; and Sprint having SM-G935P and SM-G930P. Meanwhile, carriers in China will have two handsets with distinctive model numbers.
According to Android GS, there will also be models of the Galaxy S7 variants with the Exynos chipset, which will include unlocked handsets for the global market. It will have the SM-G935F and SM-G930F model numbers. For Korea, which is Samsung's home country, the Galaxy S7 smartphones will have the SM-G935 S/K/L and SM-G930 S/K/L model numbers.
For GSM wireless carriers such as AT&T, the Galaxy S7 will have SM-G935A and SM-G930A models; and T-Mobile will get the SM-G935T and SM-G930T models.
Galaxy S7 variants with model number SM-G935A and SM-G930A have already appeared. According to rumours, they are being tested by AT&T. This may mean more of the Galaxy S7 smartphones will be launched at the beginning of 2016, which is comparably earlier than the current models arrived this year.
