Raspberry Pi Foundation announces new low cost single microprocessors board computer called the 'Pi Zero' with the price of $5 or £4 in the U.K.
Eben Upton, Raspberry Pi co-founder, hopes that people will get this product and encourages consumers to be part of computer programming. The foundation manufactured millions of Pi over the past several years. Plus Pi Foundation is a not-for-profit company.

"We believe it will be particularly useful for people looking to do robotics or IoT projects - very small and low power, but able to drive a display and keyboard when you want to do debug," Upton told TechCrunch.
The Raspberry Pi Zero is powered by a 1Ghz ARM11 core processor (40% faster that Pi 1). This is the same chip used in the original Raspberry Pi but the upclocked runs a bit faster. Pi Zero has a 512MB LPDDR2 SDRAM of RAM, with four ports such as a mini-HDMI socket for 1080p60 video output, micro-SD card slot, and two micro-USB ports for data and power. The Pi Zero also features an unpopulated 40-pin GPIO header, identical pinout to Model A+/B+/2B and unpopulated composite video header.
Raspberry Pi Zero uses a small socket that keeps the components on one side of the board. The board is very small form with just 65mm x 30mm x 5mm in size.
Another cheap computer in the Pi family is called 'Model A+', which costs $20. And by this coming fall, a Raspberry Pi rival called 'Orange Pi' will release its own product that will cost only $15. There is no doubt that low cost computer nowadays are getting increasingly affordable.
TechCrunch reported that $5 for a full-fledged computer is an incredible price that can handle applications like Scratch visual programming language and Minecraft Pi.
However, the Pi Zero does not come with an Ethernet or on-board Wi-Fi, but a Wi-Fi dongle can be used into its micro-USB port to get it connected.
