One of the cars was seen to be rolling on to its side due to a force as it approaches the intersection, causing it to collide with a car next to it. At the same time, the front of the other car it crashed was also pulled upwards.
"They each crash back down onto the road with a bang, while the first, which was lifted the most aggressively, lands on its side," stated the report.
In a report by RT, netizens have suggested a theory that a wire on the road could be the reason of the mysterious "flying" of the cars. Several YouTube viewers jokingly suggested that it could be that someone is using "superpowers."
Chinese media have also suggested a theory stating that the incident was caused by "a piece of steel cable, which was caught up in the brush of a street sweeper."
