While Ashton Kutcher rose to fame in the Fox sitcom "That 70's Show" and in a number of comedy films such as "Dude, Where's My Car?" and "Just Married", the actor did not plan on pursuing a television and film career. Rather, Kutcher began studying biochemical engineering at the University of Iowa in 1996.

After more than a decade in the entertainment industry, the actor is reportedly taking a break from his Hollywood career and will go for his first passion- the tech industry.
According to RadarOnline, Ashton has put his acting career on hold and is "so happy" that his current sitcom on CBS, "Two And A Half Men", is at its final season. The 36-year-old actor also has no projects lined up that concerns acting.
On the other hand, the 36-year-old father-to-be will be focusing his energy on his "true passion"- mobile technology. A source for the site described Kutcher as "a tech nerd at heart."
The actor has reportedly invested more than $200 million in worthwhile ventures such as Skype, Foursquare, Uber Car Service, Spotfiy, TapTalk, Washio, and Fab.com.
Kutcher has also co-founded the venture capital organization A-Grade Investments and works as a product engineer for Lenovo.
"When Ashton took on the role as Steve Jobs, it is because his ultimate dream is to do what Steve Jobs did, but in the mobile world," the source said.
While Kutcher may not see himself as an excellent actor and has not truly embraced the perks of fame, the actor believes that he was called into acting to meet his "soul partner," "That 70s Show" co-star and fiancé, Mila Kunis.
The parents-to-be have announced their plans of forming a big family and staying hands-on with their future children.
"Technology is Ashton's true passion and he is doing what he loves to do with the woman that he is in love with," the source added.
