Zhu Chengshan wrote a passage for the death of Shi in 2006 and published to media. He mentioned the massacre in front of Xuanwu Gate in the passage.
It's Shi's second time came to China in Aug,1994. He went to some relics of Nanking Massacre such as Nanking Hall, Zhongshan Harbor, Beiji Building. He also visited survivors.
When he passed by Xuanwu Gate, he said Japanese army caught more than 200 Chinese and chased them there and killed all of them.
Shi was born in 1912 and died in 2006. He joined the army in Aug. 1937 and attended Nanking Massacre. After he went back to Japan, he regret and felt guilty and then published a book talked about those cruel wars.
Zhang Dingsheng kept an eye on Xuanwu Gate for 15 years and found lots of materials about the massacre there. Japanese army group 3 and group 4 caught 250 young men in Dec, 1937. They brought them to Xuanwu Gate and let them stand in a line. And then , the Japanese army killed those young Chinese men. Shi is one member in group 3.
Zhang Dingsheng showed as that there are lots of pits on the wall. Some of the pits is because of natural weathering and some of them is because the massacre. Those pits are as high as a person. He also said that there is no pit at the outside of the wall but only inside, which means there's no war but massacre.
Also there are some materials can prove those massacres in Nanking.
