Watchmaker Romain Jerome announces a limited edition 'Super Mario Bros.' watch for almost a price of $19,000.

Super Mario watch is the fourth video game-themed made by Romain Jerome. The company is previously manufacturing a 'Pac-Man' watch, the 'Tetris' watch and the 'Space Invaders' watch. The Super Mario based watch is said to be release this year to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (the first game in the franchise).

Many Super Mario game has been seen for the NES before 'Super Mario Bros.', but this title catapulted the mushroom-gobbling, princess-saving plumber into superstar status. The watch is inspired by a Mario game called 'Super Mario Bros.' for the NES. The game was originally released in 1985, a 2D side scroller which opened Mario's path into the history of gaming.

According to TechTimes, watchmaker Romain Jerome will only be making 85 pieces for this watch. Hardcore fans who are willing to acquire this watch for a price of $19,000 will have a unique, nostalgic piece of art on their wrists.

Romain Jerome captures Super Mario Bros. elements on the NES by using colourful details on the watch. The appearance of the watch has 3D pixel-style figurines of a mushroom, a cloud and a bush from the game and a jumping Mario. The watch features an automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve. It will also come with a Moon Invader-style case in PVD-coated black titanium and will feature lugs that move along with its strap to help in forming a better fit.

Nintendo character based watch will truly appreciate fans especially "hardcore" fans. The price of the watch is $19,000 and this factor might drastically lessen the number of people that would be interested in the market. However, Super Mario watch is still a piece of art for those avid fans of the franchise.
