Floyd Mayweather Sr. picked current WBO junior welterweight titlist Terence Crawford over Manny Pacquiao in a potential fight between the two on April next year while also saying that Amir Khan has a "glass jaw" and would not be able to keep up with the Filipino pugilist.

Crawford (27-0, 19 KOs) is one of three boxers in the menu of Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) for his supposed farewell fight, which also includes Khan (31-3, 19 KOs) and reigning WBO welterweight champ Timothy Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs).

The eight-division world champion is reportedly contemplating between Crawford and Khan, but his promoter, Top Rank chief Bob Arum, is said to be leaning for him to fight stablemate Crawford rather than dealing with the Al Haymon-promoted Khan.

"I think Crawford can beat Pacquiao," Mayweather Sr. told On the Ropes Boxing. "Amir Khan's got a glass jaw, if you look at him too long, he's gonna fall down. We'll see, but if Pacquiao hits Amir Khan good, Amir Khan's gone."

It was uncharacteristic for Mayweather Sr. to talk positively about Pacquiao as he did when he mentioned him with Khan because the 63-year-old boxing trainer together with his son, pay-per-view king Floyd Mayweather Jr., are two of the staunchest critics of the Filipino icon.

However, Mayweather Sr. still had something to say to Pacquiao when asked about the fighting congressman's legacy.

"I'll look at him like a man that was chasing Floyd for years to fight, a fight that was an easy fight for Floyd," said the elder Mayweather. "I told everybody that the fight was easy. I don't care how long they waited, when the fight took place, Floyd did what he said he was gonna do and I don't think nobody was wrong in this situation for picking Floyd."

Bleacher Report noted that either Crawford or Khan "would make for an entertaining fight with Pacquiao" even though the latter's durability is really questionable because his hand speed could make it difficult for the Filipino.
