Pirelli's official 2016 calendar features accomplished women in sizes and different fields.

According to CNN, the Italian tire company will feature thirteen outstanding women, some of whom are not professional models.

This 43rd calendar edition is the work of talented American photographer Annie Leibovitz. The shots were taken at Leibovitz's New York studio in July.

Among the outstanding women who are included in the famous Pirelli calendar are rock artist Patti Smith, artist Yoko Ono, tennis star player Serena Williams, writer Fran Lebowitz, director Ava DuVernay, Chinese actress Yao Chen, Russian model Natalia Vodianova, producer Kathleen Kennedy, art collector Agnes Gund with her granddaughter Sadie Rain Hope-Gund, famous blogger Tavi Gevinson, Iranian visual artist Shirin Neshat, business tycoon Mellody Hobson, and comedic actress Amy Schumer.

On her Twitter account, Schumer posted "Beautiful, gross, strong, thin, fat, pretty, ugly, sexy, disgusting, flawless, woman. Thank you @annieleibovitz."

"I'm a great admirer of comediennes. The Amy Schumer portrait added some fun. It's as if she didn't get the memo saying that she could keep her clothes on," said Leibovitz about Schumer.

Schumer is only wearing underwear and high-heeled shoes in her calendar pose. Yoko Ono appeared with a top hat and tuxedo.

According to The Daily Mail, the 2016 Pirelli Calendar is taking a new direction with this edition by featuring the world's most inspiring women - from athletes, to artists, and to even online bloggers.

Even the models themselves were reportedly surprised at first when they were informed that they would be part of the 2016 Pirelli Calendar, according to the New York Times.

"I thought it was a joke," said author Fran Lebowitz.

"That's odd. What's that got to do with someone like me?" Agnes Gund exclaimed when she first received the information.

When Mellody Hobson got the call, she confessed to her husband George Lucas and said, "Do you know what that is?"
