Sandra Bullock has made an exciting revelation just in time for the holidays - she has apparently adopted her second child, a 3 years old baby girl who was living in foster care in Louisiana.

Bullock says that "there is no doubt in my mind" that Laila was going to be part of her family, adding that she thinks her children arrive in her life  "at the exact right time."

The proud new mom says that her eldest, son Louis, was responsible for the decision to adopt another child, which started as far back as three years ago. Laila's adoption reportedly required a lot of patience and reassurance. Bullock said that she wanted Laila to know that "Louis and I weren't going anyhere."

Her two kids have since bonded and are now inseparable, creating a household filled with "pink and glitter" as well as "legos and Batmans."

The photos that feature Bullock's bigger family was taken by the Oscar Winner's beau photographer Bryan Randall. This was also Bullock's way of putting the spotlight on nearly half a million children in the US under fostercare.

The recent adoption news comes shortly after the star vehemently denied that she was adopting a child after she was asked about it during a press junket for latest film, Our Brand is Crisis.

Bullock notes that her family is "diverse, nutty and loving and understanding"- but that is what makes it a family.
