Pop diva Mariah Carey is now recovering after being hospitalized with flu.

The Grammy award-winning singer was rushed to a hospital Wednesday morning after falling ill with a severe case of the flu, TMZ reports.

She was up and smiling as she graced the Pier 1 Christmas Pop Up Storybook opening in SoHo Tuesday evening. In fact, she looked every bit regal and "the ultimate professional," according to a rep.

"She had fallen ill earlier in the day, but participated in the event last night as much as she could," the rep continued.

Carey's rep, meanwhile, issued a statement regarding her condition: "[She] had been feeling under the weather with the flu over the past few days and was fighting it to the best of her abilities."

The star is now recovering after getting enough rest and meds. An engagement already awaits her after she gets cleared.

"She is doing well now and will be performing as scheduled this weekend," Carey's rep said.  "She thanks her lambs for the continued support and well wishes."

Carey hinted that she was not feeling well at the Pier 1 event but continued on her business-as-usual attitude and even talked about how glad she is that Christmas is coming.

"I love a white Christmas. I love a snowy Christmas, so Aspen is my go-to. I'm going this year," Carey told People. "It's a tradition. I've been going there a long time."

News of Carey's Pier 1 appearance caught the attention of everyone after it was reported that she accepted the one-hour gig for $300,000. Well, that's more than enough to foot her hospital bill, eh?

Carey is slated to star in a made-for-TV Christmas movie on Hallmark A Christmas Melody, where she plays the role of an unwelcoming PTA president to Lacey Chabert's character. The two eventually patch things up.
