Denzel Washington Denies TMZ’s ‘Detox After Hard Partying’ Report

Denzel Washington's agent has denied TMZ's recent report claiming that Denzel was required to detox after "hard partying."
TMZ portrays Denzel to have gone on a wild month long vacation that was filled with drinking alcohol. They say following the month full of partying, Denzel stayed in an Orange County residence and needed professionals to help him detox - making it seem like he was in some sort of rehab.

However, Denzel was simply spending a month with his wife traveling around on a yacht while reportedly eating some of the most extravagant foods.
Denzel's agent said his "detox" was actually a health cleanse, which is something he does quite often, especially when a big event or movie is coming up - not rehabbing because of an alcohol problem as TMZ seems to portray.
"He does this health cleanse every time he's about to go back to work and start his conditioning and nutritional program. Always cleans up after the family vacation in prep for work. Nothing new," his agent said.
Considering Denzel was eating a variety of foods from different cultures and probably eating more often than usual, it's safe to assume the health cleanse was only intended to get him back on his regular eating regimen before going back to work.
The "professionals" that TMZ reported helping Denzel "detox" were actually just his personal trainer, a chef and a nutritionist, according to a report by the Inquisitr.
Denzel Washington will be preparing to promote his upcoming crime/adventure movie "The Equalizer", which is set to release in theaters Sep 26.
The Film is based on the TV series with the same name about an ex-special ops commander who faked his own death intending to go under the radar and live a normal quite life in the city of Boston. However, he comes out of hiding to rescue a young girl from violent Russian gangsters.
