The launch of Samsung's Galaxy S7 is just around the corner and rumors about the South Korean company's flagship smartphone abound. Based on these rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S7 could easily be the best Android handset in the market today.

Samsung is known to listen to its customers and reports indicate the upcoming Galaxy S7 could be out in 2016 with a microSD slot. The company eliminated the removable battery and microSD slot from the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy 6 Edge.

According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be introduced in the first quarter of next year reportedly because the company believes it will have better chances to increase sales against its competitors by then. The Galaxy S6 and 6 Edge were successful devices but the South Korean giant did not meet sales expectations in the last two years.

Samsung's decision to remove the expandable memory card slot and seal the battery in the handset could be one of the company's most costly decisions as it did not sit well with most consumers. Along with several production problems, it might have been one of the reasons why the Galaxy S6 flagship was not received very well.

Leaks show that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a 5.2-inch display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 CPU and USB-C support. It is still unknown whether the removable battery will also be back along with the rumored return of the expandable microSD slot. Reports indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be launched in Barcelona, Spain at the MWC expo event or even as soon as January next year at CES. It is also unknown whether there will be two Galaxy S7 options - a flat and an edge one just like the 2015 Samsung flagship phones.
