Darren McGrady reportedly tweeted, "If I cared for Princess Diana in life as you are doing in death, I would have been fired."

On another post, he said, "Please tidy up the vegetation on the island."

The chef was said to have visited the site before posting the photos. He stated that he felt so angry to see that Althorp Estate has been neglecting Princess Diana's grave.

Despite these accusations, the Althorp estate has been firm that the princess' burial site is being well maintained. They have also claimed that due to the hot summer season, algae have been spreading faster and it was difficult to remove. They've tried to support this claim, by citing that is was a widespread problem in bodies of water across the country.

Gardeners of the estate have been trying to eradicate algae in Round Oval Lake, and have taken different measures in order to stop algae from growing around its vicinity. They've even put around 2,000 carps into the lake, hoping that they will help get rid of the pest.

The Althorp Estate employees were said to have made the algae problem a part of its summer program, however, it can't be helped especially because of the high temperatures.

A spokesperson for the estate defended the Earl Spencer, saying the he had been taking care of the grave site seriously and carefully, maintaining their stand that they are not neglecting Princess Diana's final resting place.
