Jenna Coleman's role entailed that during filming, she spends most of her time in Cardiff with Peter Capaldi playing the role of the Twelfth Doctor in the science-fiction series.
"When I'm here in Cardiff, it's me and Peter, all day, every day," Jenna Coleman told a media outlet on an interview.
Additionally, before the reports that the English actress is leaving 'Doctor Who,' she said, "It's one of those jobs that will only happen once..." She has also shared that the solution into playing such a role is not to fret about the future, but enjoying it instead.
As the eighth part of the series of the new 'Doctor Who' prepares to air this week on BBC One, Jenna Coleman allegedly planned to leave and put a halt on her job to translate the character of Clara Oswald.
Jenna Coleman will purportedly leave her role as the Time Lord's subordinate in a breathtaking Christmas plot in the series. This action on the actress' part may be the end of her 18-month career as Clara Oswald. In turn, this creates a vacancy for the position of Doctor Who's sidekick.
A source reported that discussions regarding the actress' plan to leave the production have already started, and plans to fix the problem of the impending vacancy are underway.
Jenna Coleman's portrayal of Clara Oswald will be one of the longest-standing companions of Doctor Who by the time she leaves. However, reports say that the production team has already agrees that the part she plays should be changed after some time.
Her role was said to have become a part of the success of the sci-fi series which will air again on Saturday.
