"Scandal" season 5 episode 10 is slated to air on Feb. 11, 2016. The latest spoilers suggest that it will focus on Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitz Grant's (Tony Goldwyn) relationship.

In the last episode, Olivia told the US president that she cannot be with him for a number of reasons. Fans of the ABC series were disappointed as they thought that the two will finally be able to make their relationship public, following Fitz' divorce from Mellie (Bellamy Young).

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Goldywn said that there may still be hope for Fitz and Olivia. He, however, added that he may just be the only person who still thinks that it is possible.

"I can't imagine how Fitz will react when he finds out about the abortion. But his feelings for Olivia defy logic," he said.

Goldwyn said that Fitz will be devastated when Olivia finally breaks the news especially since he has always wanted to have a child with her. Although he agreed that it was Olivia's body and her right to go through the abortion, Fitz deserved to know as he still is the father of the child. The actor speculated that even if Fitz is fairly progressive, he would ultimately be pro-life.  

Goldwyn also speculated that Olivia is lying to herself if she thinks that she can move on and push Fitz from her life that easily.  

"There's going to be a tremendous backlash - I'm not saying this out of any knowledge of the story, but about life - when Olivia has to look in the mirror and realizes that she's pushed away everybody who is close to her life and the man she does love,"he explained.
