Abrams of STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS and Chairman of the Walt Disney Studios Alan Horn took part today in 'Worlds, Galaxies, and Universes: Live Action at The Walt Disney Studios' presentation at Disney's D23 EXPO 2015 in Anaheim, Calif.
The world is just a little over a week away from the new Star Wars premiere, entitled The Force Awakens.
Fans, however, are not too keen to jump on the hype train. After all, after George Lucas' classics were given prequels and sequels, all of it basically fell short of expectations, regardless of whether or not they were hardcore fans.

If it counts for anything, the original man behind the Star Wars franchise himself has given the latest installment his seal of approval.
Reports say that Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy has shared that Lucas was so impressed by The Force Awakens after he saw it in a private screening, that he will be attending the film's premiere, scheduled later this month, in Los Angeles and London.
The new Star Wars movie has JJ Abrams at the helm, the same director responsible for breathing new life into the Star Trek franchise, and ironic given that when both universes first came out, the public was widely divided into Trekkies and Star Wars fans.
While Lucas may have given his much-awaited approval for the film, however, fans of the franchise may do well to take it with a grain of salt.
Some speculate that the director's taste in films has devolved given that he was involved in the creation of the critically panned sequels to an equally popular franchise, Indiana Jones.
Another theory notes Lucas openly declaring his regret for not being able to enjoy Star Wars the way fans did because he was directing it, which means he may be more inclined to like this version given that it now allows him to be a fan about it.
On the other hand, Lucas has also always said that he was disappointed by Disney's decision to let off all his plans that were intended to follow up Return of the Jedi after it acquired Lucasfilm, going as far as referring to it a "divorce". This certainly merits a little more critique on the part of the brains who introduced the Star Wars universe.
