Did Deeks murder Boyle?
While it may be obvious that Marty Deeks did not murder Francis Boyle, it is still unclear what really happened and who killed his former partner. Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) is well aware of how interrogations go and he's making it extremely hard for the investigator of the LAPD Internal Affairs. His fellow policemen think he really murdered his former partner but the detective is not acquiescing to their fishing jaunt.

Deeks previously reported Boyle's violent behavior and with DNA evidence against him, he became LA's number 1 suspect. He was arrested, taken into custody and accused of Boyle's murder in NCIS:LA season 7, episode 10. However, the NCIS team will rush to prove that Deeks did not do it before things get any worse. Hetty has ordered everyone to get him out of the case. However, Callen was dubious. Nevertheless, Callen, Kensi and Sam will work together to help Deeks. The mug shot was already done and the interview might just beat Deeks to a pulp.
It was reported that Eric Christian Olsen hoped that whatever Deeks did, he did for the right reasons. Deeks is hardly a murderer and if he indeed killed someone, it should be for a just reason. "The first instinct he has is this is a witch hunt, and whatever role Deeks played in this is a different role than whatever it is that they're trying to pin on him," Eric Christian Olsen reportedly said. "There are so many clouded moments in the events that it's hard to define the character by what he did or did not do."
If Deeks is really behind the murder, the whole story and Deeks' character will change. It is confusing and difficult to root for a murderer but viewers wonder what he can do to get out of this mess. What would the NCIS: LA do to free Deeks from this case?
