Final Fantasy VII Remake Turns Cult Classic Game Into Action RPG

(Photo : YouTube) Square Enix producer Yoshinari Kitase reported that they are trying to recreate Final Fantasy VII remake the same feel and look from the ‘Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children’ movie.
After Square Enix announces Final Fantasy VIII remake during at E3 2015, the developer unveiled today the first gameplay trailer and surprisingly the cult classic game has been transformed into an action RPG.
'Final Fantasy VII' remake was one of the most anticipated games at E3 2015 because this game popularized the Final Fantasy series and is considered one of the best RPG games of all time.

The official trailer of the game can be found on YouTube. According to TechCrunch, the new trailer looks gorgeous. The few shots of the trailer showed an actual gameplay, and a couple of things that are worth noting. The remake is going to be a third-person game, switching from the fixed camera angles in the original version.
The remake also has a brand new combat system. The original gameplay of Final Fantasy VII is 'Turned based RPG', but the trailer shows that it is now an Action Role-Playing game with a real-time combats. The developers move to change the combat system is critical, considering turn-based combats nowadays are out of fashion.
Square Enix producer Yoshinari Kitase explained that fans of Final Fantasy VII game should expect some changes in the remake. According to Kitase, they are trying to recreate the same feel and look from the 'Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children' movie.
Aside from Kitase's confirmation regarding the the new real-time combat system, fans can also =expect a classic RPG elements as players will be able to choose their weapons and more. However, it is unclear if the new action role playing system orientation is going to affect the story of the game.
Once Final Fantasy VII remake is fully furnished, the game will be available for the PlayStation 4. According to rumors, Square Enix is planning to release the game in 2017 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original game. Final Fantasy VII is temporarily an exclusive title for the PS4, meaning that Square Enix might be releasing the game on the Xbox One and PC later on.
