While many actors of his generation are dying hard to achieve success, Chinese actor Hu Ge wants to go the other way around and take some time to rest away from entertainment industry.
The actor's popular drama Good Times has just ended and many thought he would seek new roles that would further solidify his presence. But the 33-year-old said he prefers to spend some time to settle down for a while.

The past year was a busy year for him. Recently, he has starred in three dramas: Nirvana in Fire, The Disguiser, and Good Time. This year, he top billed The Disguiser and Good Times. Next year, Gu also has a few projects scheduled for release.
Hu Ge's acting prowess hasn't gone unnoticed. He won the Asian Special Contribution Award in Japan for two of his TV dramas Inspiration in Life in 2014 and Good Time in 2015.
Hu rose to fame in 2005 with his breakthrough performance as Li Xiaoyao in the television series Chinese Paladin, based on the RPG The Legend of Sword and Fairy. He was also featured in the series' soundtrack, performing two songs, thus, launching his music career as well. He released his own EP in 2006 titled Treasure with three songs followed by his first full-length album, Start, in 2008, containing ten tracks.
He also ventured into theatre acting. In 2013, his banner year as a theatre performer, Hu Ge acted as Patient No.5 in Stan Lai's A Dream Like a Dream and as Xu Zhuang Tu in Forever Yi Xue Yan, a theatre adaptation of Pai Hsien-yung's novel of the same title.
