Free agent Shawn Marion has reached an agreement to play with LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.
The 36-year-old forward's contract has not yet finalized but the NBA veteran committed to take a minimum deal amounting to $1.4 million, a source with knowledge about the discussions said. It appears Marion is chasing another championship ring in signing up with the revitalized Cavs.

Marion provides Cleveland the veteran presence as the Cavs can be considered as a team that lacks playoff experience. The four-time All-star can give LeBron James, who recently returned to the team, a boost as they campaign for the club's first NBA title.
Together with Dirk Nowitzki and the rest of the Dallas Mavericks, Marion pounded James' Miami Heat to win the NBA championship back in 2011.
The 9th overall pick in the 1999 NBA draft has high hopes to work with Cavaliers general manager David Griffin again. Griffin was a part of the Phoenix Suns' front office when they drafted Marion.
At this stage of his career, Marion is still producing good numbers in his last season with the Dallas Mavericks, averaging 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
Aside from Marion, the Cavs is also on the verge of acquiring Kevin Love's services through a trade that can be done on Aug. 23. While Love does not have any playoff experience under his belt, he can be a force to reckon with in Cleveland.
The Cavs were also able to sign to deadeye shooters James Jones and Mike Miller.
Now the fans are waiting if the Cavs can also add Ray Allen to the team. Allen has yet to decide if he is going to return for another season or retire.
